Cathy Egan

Cathy is joining Kolibri Law Firm Management with deep experience advising law firms on their operations, administration and overall office needs. She spent 15 years at a prominent Boston law firm where she partnered with and advised senior management in functions including human resources, administration, policies and procedures and facilities management in two locations with 150 employees. In this role, she also directly supervised a staff of 50 in two locations, evaluated support staff and determined annual bonuses, increases and salary adjustments. She led and approved communications between attorneys and staff, addressed all disciplinary issues and handled the termination process including severance negotiations and exit interviews.

Cathy is a strategic connector and shares her knowledge by way of conducting career and educational counseling of staff members. While overseeing employee relations and resolutions, she also collaborated with the HR Director, Benefits Coordinator, broker and vendors to introduce benefits changes and planned open enrollment meetings. Cathy is a go-to resource for questions related to COBRA, FMLA , STD and LTD.

Most recently, Cathy was the Director of Office Services and Facilities at Boston-based firm where she oversaw vendor relationships, developed a business continuity plan, and planned all firm-wide events. Previously in her career, Cathy was the Human Resources Manager at the corporate headquarters of a 300 employee multi-state investment firm for four years. Cathy is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology. She is the President of the Association of Legal Human Resource Managers, and is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators.
